Hello! If you are reading this, I’m really grateful that you’ve taken time out to read my blog.

My name is Destiny and I currently reside in my hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. My passion is everything curly hair with an emphasis on tight curls. I own and operate Destiny’s Place Salon which is a natural hair salon.

I grew up in the salon. No, seriously! My mom owned the original “Destiny’s Place” back in 1995. She turned our basement into a salon and I spent most of my free time watching her work. I LOVED listening to her clients talk about their lives as my mom made them look beautiful. The smell of oil sheen and spritz became some of my favorite smells!

I was so spoiled with her doing my hair that I never really learned to do my own hair. Why would I when I could just go into my basement and get my hair done every week? 🤷🏾‍♀️

It wasn’t until I was married and decided to go natural that I learned to do my own hair. My love for natural hair grew quickly. You could say the rest is history! Want to learn more about my journey? Watch this video below.
